★★★★★ The Golden Peanut
“You know it’s a psyop,” our friend said as the waiter placed a steaming plate of pad thai down on the table. “What is?” we asked, helping ourselves to a small serving of the noodle dish, careful not to take too much. There were eleven of us at The Golden Peanut, a tightly-packed Thai restaurant in Reservoir. So far, everything had been spectacular. The pomelo wrapped in betel leaf was sour, sweet, and refreshing. The spring onion rice cake was joyously glutinous. The Masaman curry had tender chunks of beef perfectly poached in a honey-nut gravy. We were already a little full, so we went light on the noodles.
